About me.
I was born in Nadudvar, Hungary and after teacher training worked at the local primary school in my home town.
I always had an interest in arts and crafts, so I attended a specialist instructor course at the leather faculty college in Budapest and continued my studies to become a “journey woman” working under the experience of master leather craftsmen.
This involved a great deal of time studying examples of traditional leather work in museums and with working country craftsmen .
When a craft school was set up in my town and I was asked to teach at the school as the “Leatherwork Master”.
My work was submitted many times to the leather crafts guild in Budapest where a panel of experts noted my craftsmanship as being of the highest quality.
I have also had exhibitions of my work in Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and here in Wales.
I moved to Wales in 2006 when I married my husband, who is a master woodworker. He built me a wooden studio where I can create my work and practice my craft.
I am inspired by my husband, by nature and also by Celtic history
In my work I use many traditional age old skills to create objects which are practical and useful in the modern world.
Using a contemporary approach, I enjoy creating unique pieces of leather work.
